missing my brother

Seven years ago today my older brother Billy was beaten to death outside of a bar. I really miss him today. I need to make a phone call to my other brother, his identical twin. The two of them were always very close and always shared everything. He took it really hard, they celebrated every birthday together and for his 50th he had to celebrate it alone. The guy that killed him was found immediately and put in jail. It still doesn’t make things any better, we still lost a brother.

Just laying on my bed listening to the sounds of the rain and the thunder outside the window. Got the dog here keeping me company. And then all of a sudden the weather alarm goes off due to the thunderstorm. That was a bit jarring and Kind of ruined the mood.
